  • Rainbow of five rings fits over a cone with rocking base

Some things never go out of style. A rainbow of five rings fits over a cone with rocking base. Stacking toys help baby develop fine motor skills while encouraging cognitive abilities. Made of teethable material.

For generations babies have delighted in this classic stacking toy. Consisting of five bright candy-colored rings in graduated sizes looped over an 8-inch-tall plastic post, the Rock-A-Stack helps babies develop coordination as they learn to stack the easy-to-grasp rings in the proper order. Little ones will have the time of their lives sorting, stacking, and tasting to see if the rings really taste as good as they look. Made of absolutely safe, washable soft plastic suitable for teething. --Marianne Painter

not that good as I thought2010-03-113 / 5
The toys states 6 mos + but my son is 9 and he still doesn't know what to do with it. He just throws it apart or grabs a ring in each hand and starts hitting them together and that's it. Most of the time it is standing in toy box. I'm just interested what age babies start stacking them?!
Rock-A-Stack vs. Little Super Star Classical Stacker2010-02-235 / 5
I read all the reviews for Rock-A-Stack when i was looking for a stacker for my 1 yr old daughter. I did not like the cone shape of the post thinking that this feature would be a disadvantage in learning the concept of size of the rings. So i went with the Little Super Star Classical Stacker. Well, as it turned out i was wrong. Even though the Little Super Star Classical Stacker has lights and music,my daughter got bored with it in about a month. She did not learn the size order because she was too young to understand my explanations. And then my neighbour suggested to switch our stackers. And that is how we've got the Rock-A-Stack stacker. It has been 7 mos and my daughter is still very much interested in this toy. The cone shape forced her to figure out the sizes. When we just got it, she would put a ring on the post and shake her head if it was the wrong one or clap her hands if it was the correct one. Very cute! She also loves to wear them as bracelets.
Overall, great toy!!! We highly recommend it!
awesome for fine motor, less awesome for physics2010-02-134 / 5
PROS:
* Classic design that little kids love
* Stacking the rings builds fine motor skills

CONS:
* Kids can't tell that these aren't donuts until they have a mouthful of plastic
* Fisher-Price gives a poor representation of the electromagnetic spectrum (arguably inverting it and then completely omitting the violet end of the spectrum)
Blue Dye Everywhere!2010-02-111 / 5
Don't waste your money on this one. The first time my daughter played with it the dye from the blue ring ended up on the base, the rings, her face, hands & clothes in a matter of minutes. No matter how much you wash the blue ring it still bleeds, luckily the dye on the skin cleans up easily.
Thinking made easy2010-02-035 / 5
My daughter loves this toy it keeps her thinking and chewing on it for hours.
