| Beats any Graco hands down!!! | 2009-08-25 | 5 / 5 |
| This product is FANTASTIC!!! I am 32, 38 weeks pregnant with my second child and put this thing together in 20 minutes. Everything was packaged well and arrived undamaged. I have another child and had a Graco with her...I cannot believe the difference in quality. I mean my mouth hit the floor as I was putting this thing together.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS TRAVEL SYSTEM:
1) Easy to put together
2) When adding the foot rest it showed an area where you can tighten the bolt if the front wheel wobbles. It also included an extra screw to attach the foot rest. I thought that was awesome.
3) Each piece went on, screwed on, and snapped on in a breeze.
4) When inspecting the canopy on the stroller I noticed the side had a zipper and I assumed maybe this opened a ventilation of some sort, but no...to my surprise it was a zipper pocket and then below it there was a velcro pocket...I thought...wow...then I decided to look on the other side and it had it too! I was practically jumping.
5) The inside seat sides on the stroller has a mesh pocket, which this and the above was never mentioned when I looked at the product online. I was thrilled with this discovery as well.
6) The carseat is really nice, fabric is high quality on the carseat and stroller. Fabric on carseat has nice comfy padding...unlike the Graco I had in the past. The material and padding reminded me more of the Britax that my daughter now uses and that my son will use when he is 1.
7) I really like the handle on the carseat, you can carry it with one hand and it has a very comfortable rubber grip.
8) Stroller has trigger release to close, very easy to use.
9) I love the switch that you can flip under the foot rest to either lock or unlock the front swivel wheel.
10) Instructions said the tires came non-inflated, mine were ready to go out of the box...thank you!
* The only negative comment I have is that the storage basket is a little small. This in my mind is very minor as my overall impression with the stroller/carseat combo is phenomenal.
* I would recommend this to a friend. I would buy this again and again.
* You will not regret this combination!!!
* I also noticed that some people mentioned that the carseat when put into the stroller does not lay in a full reclining position for baby. Well I had this issue at first as well, however I found that there are two red tabs (one on each side of the stroller) on the stroller that need to be drawn up, once these are drawn up the carseat fully latches and clicks down onto the tray in a normal reclined position for baby. You then pull those same tabs back down toward the carseat to lock the bottom in place. It is hard to read or understand this from the instructions. |
| Great travel system! | 2009-04-03 | 4 / 5 |
| | I really have enjoyed this travel system. The car seat alone is great from a safety standard but as an active mom, I was anxious to get back walking after having my baby. It's great on long walks and it's made very well. It is a bit heavy but all joggers are. Just wait until you need a double. I also didn't use this as a mall or errands stroller when the baby was still in car seat because my model didn't have a front wheel that swiveled. I bought the baby trend snap n go for all that. All and all I think it's a great purchase. You get a top of the line, safe car seat and a great jogger that won't get out grown for many years. I totally recommend this stroller. |
| Satisfied, but not thrilled | 2009-02-17 | 3 / 5 |
| I've had this travel system for eleven months. I wish that I could rate this higher because for it's basic purpose, I love the stroller, and it is so reasonable to boot! It is so maneuverable, a soft ride, and is just plain fun to drive. It takes quick turns, is very narrow compared to others, and also goes over curbs without being too topsy. I loved using the stroller as a travel system. For the price, it's great, but I'd only recommend it to others with big warnings. Read on for my concerns.
I hate the carseat. The carseat is VERY heavy, the straps are way too tight for my 20 lb. baby with a jacket on, and it seems really hard on the back (but my baby doesn't seem to mind.) When I first bought it, the handle could not be moved down and the straps could not be pulled out to extend them. I took it to Babies 'r Us to ask them for help. They were surprised to realized that they couldn't make these two operations work. They said that it must be a defective one, but they couldn't return it because they didn't carry the model anymore (different color). When I called the company, they said to use PAM on the handle and that the straps would loosen with use. Why shouldn't the product just work to begin with? They wouldn't exchange it. I drove around with the handle up and squashed my baby with tight straps for a few days. The handle bar was not an issue after using the PAM. The straps were fine after my husband worked on them for a couple of days, but they are now too short. I really have to tug at them, and pull them too tight against him to get him in. My baby hates getting into the carseat now. i don't know if it is because of his age, or because of the carseat. My son has outgrowb the carseat. He is the right weight and height to move on, but we really have to move on because the straps are way too tight.
I love the stroller part with the carseat as the infant seat. I haven't had any difficulty with the front wheel at all. My tires have gotten low twice, but I've had it for eleven months and used it a lot. It is a bit heavy to get in the car, but not a problem. It is easy to fold and unfold.
Do not use this off road or on trails. Though the air tires help to reduce some bouncing on gravel paths, to get a smooth ride over rocks or roots, you'd need shock absorbers. I've experienced some stressful moments watching my baby's head bounce around.
Now that my baby has grown out of the carseat, I am very nervous about using the stroller without the baby seat. The back of the stroller is adjusted by moving a gadget up a set of strings up, but the gadget doesn;t stay in place. You also attach the string on a hook, but it won't make the back elevate straight. He is still reclined too much for his desire. He ends up pulling himself to sitting and not leaning back- not comfortable.

| Frustrating... | 2009-01-19 | 2 / 5 |
| | We so looked forward to using our jogging stroller, and when it came in the mail, I assembled it per the instructions. When we used it, the front wheel shook so badly. This was frustrating because I wanted the pivotal wheel to be able to use this stroller while walking, shopping, AND have the option to lock it for jogging. At first I thought maybe our baby just didn't weigh enough to keep the front down, but over time I found that wasn't the case. The front shaky wheel was reason enough for me to get online and write a review about this stroller. So disappointing! |
| Good, but some problems perticularly with the tires | 2008-11-09 | 2 / 5 |
| We bought this stroller for our first child. We bought it because it handles well and turns easily. Also since we live in a small city apartment, the folding aspect was a must. Here is a list of the problems we have had with the stroller:
1) At two months the front tire, inner tube was punctured by a wire protruding from the actual rubber tire. We had to take off the tire and patch the tube. We also had to file down the wire in the tube and in a couple more areas we thought might puncture the tube in the future.
2) The front tire never got back to normal and turns and studders at medium to high speeds. If I used it for running, I would not be able to use it after fixing the tire. Maybe it takes more than 2 engineers with PhDs to fix it correctly. :)
3) Around 3 months the release to fold up the body of the stroller started sticking. It is now very difficult to pull the release on the one side.
4) Around 5 months the rear tire punctured, perhaps because of us rolling over something, but we patched it and it holds air.
Our child is now 6 months old and we have yet to use it without the infant seat. I like the ease of putting the car seat in a car, however we only use it in a car infrequently, since we don't currently own a car.
I am happy with the maneuvering of the stroller as long as I am not hurrying across the road or anything. I wouldn't buy this stroller again or recommend that my friends do. |
