Very nice mat, I have no idea what people are talking about with the smell, I don't know if they ever smelled vinyl before or what but I think they over emphasized on how bad it smelled, there was no horrbile stench.
I have a very lightly textured tub and I knew it wouldn't stick to it properly but I just wanted some cushion for my 19 month old son during his bath. I stuck it to the areas where it wasn't textured so it wouldn't be floating up in the water. Well I put my son on the mat and he freaked, trying to pull it up. He was so use to the tub not having anything on it that the mat felt so weird to him. I was disappointed but it was nothing to do with the product. I just used it for myself because it felt good on my feet, nice little bath mat for me instead. |

Not thrilled about the smell.
Not thrilled about the unstickiness until the boys get in there and somehow it sticks.
BUT.
My sons (especially one of them) have muscle tone issues. This mat is amazingly long with the drain cutout at the end. It is PERFECT because I have twin boys who are all over the tub and I bathe them together. They have so much fun. I was always terribly worried bathing them together until this mat. So it rarely happened and I used the Primo Eurobath (excellent and purchased) until I got this.
Now they sit in the tub and we have a blast for a long time. It is very durable, and stays clean and does not mold up. Of course you have to remove it from the bottom of the tub after the bath...
It is great and I really recommend this vs. using shelving material (some people use this, I never felt comfortable doing that) |

Perfect size, perfect grip, good quality, good grief it stinks!
Had to air out for days and then wash it and it still smelled. How good can those fumes be for you? |
